You have several options of arrival into Playa del Carmen from the Cancun Airport. Details of each are listed here below. We highly recommend utilizing the Private Van Service offered through us. This will assure you a safe & convenient arrival into Playa del Carmen.
Driving Directions from Cancun to Playa del Carmen
Playa del Carmen is approximately 50km (31 miles) south of the Cancun International Airport. From the airport and take Highway 307/Cancun Tulum Highway south towards Playa del Carmen/Tulum/Chetumal. In roughly 45 minutes you’ll arrive in sunny Playa del Carmen. More specific instructions on how to arrive at each specific property will be emailed to you 30 days before your arrival date once your final payment has been processed.

Private Van from the Cancun International Airport
Your personal private driver will meet you outside customs at the Cancun Airport. The driver will be holding a sign with your name on it. You will be whisked away and driven directly to your rental property. Our concierge can help you in booking this service.

Taxi Service
Exiting Customs at the Cancun Airport you will be bombarded with eager taxi drivers pushing to get your business. Generally a taxi ride to Playa del Carmen costs $90 USD one way.(from 1 to 4 pax).
Airport Rental Car
Playa del Carmen is a walking city. Renting a car is really a luxury rather than a necessity. If you would like to book a private car, our concierge can help you. Generally, please bring with you to the car rental agency a copy of your car reservation with the taxes and insurance already added in. In terms of insurance liability is required; collision is optional.
Public Bus System
Recommend for only the seasoned Playa del Carmen traveler. Buses leave every hour during normal business hours and will drop you off at 1 of 2 bus stations in Playa del Carmen whereupon you will either need to walk or hire a taxi to take you to your rental property.
